Congratulations to our undergraduates Mary Elizabeth Burke (BS Public Policy) and Soobin Oh (BS Economics) for representing the Ivan Allen College this week at the Georgia Tech IDEaS Industry Day. The students presented their poster titled: "Sentiment Analysis of Information Shared in Electric Vehicle Networks.”
The students are collaborating with an interdisciplinary team on the use of cloud-based AI and machine learning tools to process unstructured text data in emerging electric vehicle ? charging infrastructure. Mary and Soobin have developed a classification scheme to help automatically predict EV system failures in emerging infrastructure. They are providing building blocks for new approaches in economic and policy research using social data.
